FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for harvesting of fodder crops.
SUBSTANCE: fodder harvesting combine has cutting and feeding apparatus, gripping beaters, and disk-type grinder with feeding rolls having rectilinear knives offset from disk center. Disk-type grinder with knives and throwing spades is located within housing equipped with two charging windows, which are arranged laterally of vertical axis of grinder and at opposite sides of its horizontal axis. Shear plate fixed on one of windows is arranged on its upper side, and shear plate fixed on other window is arranged on its lower side. During operation of combine, plant mass is cut off and directed by means of beaters and feeding rolls into charging windows of grinder housing. Knives grind plant mass, and the latter is directed by means of throwing spades from grinder housing through pipeline into vehicle.
EFFECT: increased capacity of fodder harvesting combine owing to employment of two charging windows.
