FIELD: ironmongery, particularly locks with quick changeable codes for safe locking.
SUBSTANCE: lock comprises coded drum secured to tooth-wheel engaged with latch stem rack. Coded drum is locked with fixed number of spring-loaded slides and secured to shaft so that coded drum rotation is accomplished with shaft rotation. Shaft end is secured to rotary part of cylinder mechanism, which prevents shaft from rotation. To provide lock closing and opening one have to unlock the cylinder mechanism by key insertion. The slides are lifted by double-bit key, wherein each slide is lifted for predetermined height. The key has cuts corresponding to number of coded drum discs, as well as to size and order of coded drum extensions. Then latch stems and tooth-wheel engaged with it are moved by central tooth, which results in rotation of coded drum connected to the tooth-wheel and of the shaft. The shaft is attached to rotary part of the cylinder mechanism.
EFFECT: increased lock secrecy without lock size increase, improved lock protection against lock picking.
