FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: seal is set in the bushing and comprises two members which define at least one central opening for cable or pipe. The outer diameter of the seal is variable to fit different setting sizes and is provided with several sheets that are assembled to define a stack for permitting manual detachment of the sheets. The thickness of each outer sheet is less than the predicted maximum expansion of the main members and ranges from 0.5 to 2.0 mm. The number of outer sheets ranges from two to twenty. Each member of the seal has main part made of a flexible material.
