FIELD: transport engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed windshield wiper has arm consisting of fastening part and hinge part with U-shaped rod combined with hinge part. Said rod is hinge-connected with wiper blade by spring fastener 22. Side walls 76, 78 of spring fastener 22 are interconnected by walls of seat hole 66 open over perimeter to receive hinge axle, and projecting inner sides of said walls of spring fastener serve as outer guides for rod 10 of windshield wiper arm. Rod 10 of windshield wiper arm is U-shaped in cross-section up to its free end, and at least one pair 38, 40 of U-shaped plate projections is forms on its end section. Said projections are arranged on opposite side longitudinal walls of u-shaped section. One of projections is provided with inward bent plate. In mounted state, at least one of longitudinally pointed pins 70, 74 of spring fastener 22 gets into space between plate projections of one pair 38, 40, thus locking spring fastener on rod 10 of windshield wiper arm.

EFFECT: reduced weight and cost of windshield wiper.
