FIELD: aeronautical engineering; aircraft catapult units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed aircraft catapult unit includes load-bearing members with suspension assemblies, catapulting mechanism including power double-acting drive, front and rear ejection levers, guides for missile lugs with locking members, locking mechanism for holding the ejection levers in closed position and separation connector mechanism. Load-bearing members are made in form of separate front and rear bodies located on one longitudinal axis and interconnected by means of two casings mounted between these bodies and one casing mounted behind rear body. Suspension units of load-bearing members are mounted on these bodies. Front and rear ejection levers are articulated on casings and their pivot axles are also used as suspensions. Catapulting mechanism is formed by front and rear bodies with their casings, front and rear ejection levers and movable beam articulated on front and rear ejection levers on which guides for missile lug are mounted. Double-acting power drive is located between upper end of front ejection lever and end of movable beam.
EFFECT: reduced mass; ease of use; enhanced reliability and safety in operation.
