FIELD: aircraft industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gas-turbine turbofan engine has fan, high-speed compressor, combustion chamber with ball-torus convector, two stage turbine connected through shaft with fan and through step-up gear with high-speed compressor, reaction nozzle and reheat unit. Engine is furnished also with air-hydrogen heat exchanger of torus design, turboexpander, steam generator and liquid-propellant engine. Torus heat exchanger is arranged between first and second stages of high-speed compressor. Turboexpander is arranged between middle support and combustion chamber. Steam generator is made integral with turbine guide nozzle assembly. Liquid-propellant engine is arranged after turbine along engine axis and it contains ball-type steam-gas generator inside combustion chamber.
EFFECT: increased thrust at all heights and duties.
