FIELD: medicine, gynecology.
SUBSTANCE: after carrying out uterine extirpation one should dissect a round uterine ligament at little distance against uterine angle, separate round uterine ligament against peritoneum along 3-4 cm, tighten up the stump of the right round uterine ligament towards the left angle of vaginal stump, then with separate sutures it is necessary to fix the ligament towards the left angle and posterior wall of vaginal stump. Analogously, one should tighten up the stump of the left uterine ligament towards the right angle of vaginal stump with separate interrupted sutures. Then both ligaments should be covered with separated peritoneum. The innovation suggested enables to prevent the prolapse of vaginal walls after uterine extirpation and provide better reflux of secreta out of small pelvis cavity.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of fixation.
