FIELD: pump engineering.

SUBSTANCE: vortex pump comprises housing with the discharge passage, wheel interposed between lids, and vane apparatus with passages and main and additional flow separators. The wheel is made of a pinion with open longitudinal grooves having concave bottom. The vane apparatus embraces the wheel with a spaced relation. The passages of the vane apparatus are made of longitudinal grooves whose open part faces the grooves of the wheel. The pump is provided with additional inlet and discharge passages arranged diametrically opposite to the main passages. The main and additional discharge passages are interconnected through the sector passages. Each lid in the central zone is provided with the ring bore connected with the spaces of the grooves of the wheel and vane apparatus through the radial passages.
