FIELD: geophysics, possible use for performing monitoring at seas and oceans.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining depths of body of water includes emitting hydro-acoustic signals by phase hydro-locator for side observation and reflected signal is received in two points positioned along vertical line at given distance. Measurement of delay time of cophased signals along vertical line, including those reflected from even surface of bottom, is performed along each calculated direction. On basis of produced data directions of arrival of cophased signals are determined and sea soil is recognized. Additionally measured is alteration of sound speed directly at horizon of antenna, on basis of values of which correcting signals are introduced. Inclination angle of antennae carrier is determined, linear and angular speeds and accelerations directly on body of antennae. Correction for temporal code determined during measurements is introduced. Recognition of sea soil is performed by methods of clusterization and numeric analysis. Device for realization of aforementioned method includes antennae, transmitting block, receiving-measuring block, controlling block, computing unit, registration device, correction device, information timing device, and also a block of indicators for measuring linear and angular speeds and accelerations.
EFFECT: higher trustworthiness of depths calculation and recognition of soil.
