ULTRASONIC CHEMICAL REACTOR Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B01J19/10 B06B3/00

Abstract RU 2272670 C1

FIELD: chemical industry; biological industry; food processing industry; pharmaceutical industry; devices for ultrasonic treatment of the liquid mediums.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the devices for ultrasonic treatment of the liquid mediums and may be used in chemical industry, biological industry, food processing industry, pharmaceutical industry for production of slurries and emulsions, intensification of chemical reactions, extraction, etc. The substance of the invention the ultrasonic chemical reactor mounted in the body contains: the piezoelectric converter made in the form of the in series arranged and acoustically connected to each other the rear side frequency-step-down strap, the ring-shaped piezo-electric components and the frequency step-down concentrating strap, the connected and acoustically linked with a protruding from the body part of the frequency step-down concentrating strap working tool, on the end of which there is a working end part and the technological volume with the branch-pipes of input-output of the treated mediums connected with the body of the converter and arranged concerning it so, that the part protruding from the body of the frequency step-down concentrating strap and the working tools are arranged in the body of the technological volume. The rear frequency step-down strap and ring-shaped piezo-electric components are located on the frequency step-down concentrating strap made in the form of the connecting rod. The size of the connecting rod is selected in such a manner, that it is protruding from the rear strap by the length corresponding to a quarter of the wavelength of the ultrasonic oscillations on the operational frequency of the converter. Inside the connecting rod and the frequency step-down concentrating strap there are three channels: the central through channel having a conical outlet opening in the working tool end part and in symmetry to it - two more channels connected by one side - with the branch-pipe fixed on the connecting rod, and their second side has outlet to the surface of the protruding from the body part of the frequency step-down concentrating strap on the section corresponding to the minimum of amplitude of the frequency of the converter oscillations. The body of the technological volume is made in the form of two in succession established and axisymmetrically located volumes parted by the sound-transparent diaphragm. Development of the ultrasonic chemical reactor in the form of the piezoelectric converter with three through channels and two technological volumes parted by the sound-transparent diaphragm has ensured the increased efficiency of the reactor due to gas injection in the field of the maximal ultrasonic effect in front of the radiating surface, chilling of the converter in the process of operation, expansion of the functionalities of the reactor due to exclusion of contact of the treated liquid medium with a material of the working tool, provision of the flowing mode, a capability to realize reactions with the gas components.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased efficiency of the reactor, expansion of its functionalities, provision of the flowing mode and the capability to realize reactions with the gas components.
