FIELD: glass industry; methods of charging the shaft furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of glass industry, mainly, to the methods of charging the shaft furnaces, in particular, to the methods of charging the glass furnaces supplied with the shaft-type prechamber with a perforated layer of a shaft material. The technical result of the invention is reduction of heat losses through the walls of the shaft-type prechamber, assurance of the uniform heating-up and melting of a peripheral shell of the batch pellet. The perforated batch pellets in the form of a parallelepiped are fed into the shaft in such a manner that the slot channels of the central perforated part coincide with formation of the system of vertical channels for the spent gases passing. The lining of the shaft-type prechamber is formed by a row of the batch pellets. The peripheral shell of the charge material perforated layer on the side of the working chamber has a smaller thickness, which ensures a passage for the products of combustion into the channels of the perforated layer of the charge material. The vertical ribs of the batch pellets of the perforated layer of the charge material are rounded. The septums between the channels are of the variable thickness in height of the perforated layer that results in intensification of the convective heat exchange and reduction of carryover of the volatile components. To increase in the shaft furnace productivity in its shaft prechamber install in parallel to each other shafts of the batch pellets with an independent charging.
EFFECT: the invention ensures reduction of heat losses through the walls of the shaft-type prechamber, assurance of the uniform heating-up and melting of a peripheral shell of the batch pellets, an increase in the shaft furnace productivity.
