FIELD: oil industry, particularly gel-forming compositions based on polyacrylamide and cross-linking agent to increase reservoir recovery and to perform waterproofing works.
SUBSTANCE: method for prior choice of composition including acrylamide polymer, cross-linking agent and water involves performing experimental determination of composition characteristics, namely polyacrylamide dissolving time τdis, gel forming time τgel, static shearing stress τ; determining reservoir parameters for particular well; determining the following technological characteristics: initial pressure gradient, minimal radius of gel screen formed in reservoir, minimal composition volume, volumetric flow rate and time of composition injection, wherein above characteristics are determined from design equations; choosing composition so that composition injection time is to be less than gel-forming time and more than polyacrylamide dissolving time.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of reservoir treatment with the use of polymeric composition, reduced non-uniformity of reservoir permeability and coverage, increased oil recovery and improved water inflow isolation.
