FIELD: controlling reproduction of copying-protected audio data.

SUBSTANCE: proposed system has license control device, editing device, and portable record medium. License control device saves pairs of contents protected against unauthorized copying and numbers of permitted input checks. Upon arrival of request for output check execution audio entity corresponding to medium content is recorded on license control device, content identifier is assigned to given audio entity, and respective number of permitted output checks is decremented by one. Editing device functions to edit audio entity and to assign content identifier, similar to that of input audio entity, to every new audio entity obtained by editing. Local memory saves pre-history information including medium identifier and content identifier assigned to original audio entity. Upon arrival of request for executing input check for license control device medium audio entity whose assigned content identifier is similar to that of pre-history information is placed in non-reproducible state and number of permitted output checks is augmented by one.

EFFECT: ability of audio data control, including their input check on portable record medium, even in case of audio data editing.
