FIELD: hydrometallurgy; equipment for hydrometallurgical productions.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of hydrometallurgy; in particular, to the settler for clarification of slurries and may be used in hydrometallurgical productions for segregation of slurries in that event, when simultaneously with the process of separation of slurries there is the process of foaming, for example, at aluminum mills in shops and sections of production of the secondary cryolite. The invention ensures an increased engineering-and-economical performance of the clarification process of the multi-component slurries due to effective separation from the slurries solid fractions of the easily pop-up fine-dispersed fraction enriched with the carbonic fragments. The settler contains the body, the charging device for feeding the slurry consisting of the slurry channel and the feeding sleeve, the device for discharge of the clarified solution and the device for the collecting and removal of the foam product, and also the scrubbing device for the settling removal. The device for collection of the foam product is installed in the upper part of the feeding sleeve coaxially with it and is made in the form of the overflow threshold supplied with by annular chute. The annular chute is equipped with the stripper of foam consisting of the inclined foam pipe and the blades arranged in the annular chute and rigidly fixed on the shaft of the settler. The overflow threshold is made with a capability of adjustment of its height. The charging device is supplied with the foaming grate, the aerator, the slurry heater, the batcher of the flotation agent.

EFFECT: the invention ensures then increased engineering-and-economical performance of the clarification process of the multi-component slurries.
