FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fractionation of solids in vertical flow and may be used in dressing of mineral resources, processing of technogenic formations by countercurrent processes in fluid-solid system. Proposed classifier comprises housing with loading branch pipe and horizontal partitions arranged along its height. Said partitions are made up of coaxial rings interconnected by radial inclined plates to produce sectors. Inclined plates of every subsequent interring zone are mounted at angle opposite to that of inclination of previous zone plates. Column top section accommodates sump made up of cylindrical outer shell aligned with casing with inclined bottom that houses intermediate-diameter cylindrical barrel. Sump inclined bottom lower point with provided with thickened suspension discharge branch pipe and clarified fluid bleed branch pipe arranged above the level of intermediate-diameter cylindrical barrel immersion. Loading branch pipe represents a tube passing along the housing center at height interval occupied by partitions, it is used for fastening the latter and has lateral perforation in said interval. Housing bottom accommodates pulsation chamber communicated with pulsator to allow up-and-down level variation. Intermediate-diameter cylindrical barrel top base has flanged annular box made from filtration cloth.
