METHOD FOR SUPPLYING LUBRICATING AND COOLING LIQUID AT SKIN PASS ROLLING Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B21B27/10

Abstract RU 2274505 C1

FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly in skin pass rolling mills at wet skin pass rolling of cold rolled annealed and hot rolled etched strips with use of lubricating and cooling liquid.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding preliminarily prepared lubricating and cooling liquid from tank to rolls of rolling mill and to rolled strip; collecting in casing of mill waste lubricating and cooling liquid in one of two modes, namely: without using waste lubricating and cooling liquid drained from casing for recovery or at circulation of waste lubricating and cooling liquid in closed circuit where said liquid is cleaned and accumulated in tank; cyclically measuring concentration of lubricating and cooling liquid in tank for comparing it with predetermined value. At circulation mode lubricating and cooling liquid is preliminarily cleaned in casing of mill when draining system in lower portion of casing is closed with use of flotation. Lubricating and cooling liquid for further cleaning is fed out of casing from level consisting of 0.4 - 0.6 of its height. Concentration of lubricating and cooling liquid is restored after its fluctuation relative to predetermined level due to making up with concentrated lubricating and cooling liquid. Said modes are switched at condition of changing parameters or material of rolled pieces.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and economical effectiveness of process, lowered consumption of lubricating and cooling liquid, improved quality of cleaning it, high quality of rolled strip surface, reduced consumption of rolls.
