FIELD: rolling process.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes partial transfer of surface structure of working rolls on material being treated. For performing this method, use is made of tribological model for mathematical description of relationship of friction forces in deformation zone in rolling; method includes calculation of change in roughness of material being rolled in the course of rolling in skin rolling mill provided with several working stands, preferable with two working stands by optimized calculations at varying rolling parameters and taking into account boundaries of equipment. Results thus obtained are used for preliminary setting of rolling parameters. Proposed method makes it possible to predict change in friction coefficient in deformation zone and optimization of rolling parameters from the standpoint of maintenance of roughness.
EFFECT: stabilization of roughness parameters of strip.
