FIELD: transport engineering; hook locks.
SUBSTANCE: proposed vehicle hood locking mechanism has locking unit consisting of rod member with working head made to pass and/or fit in hole of one of parts to be connected, and locking rod arranged for movement in this hole whose axis is square to longitudinal axis of locking rod, and displaced from central longitudinal axis of hole for engagement with outer surface of working head. Mechanism is provided additionally with at least one other similar locking unit whose locking rod is coupled with locking rod of first unit for simultaneous displacement. Each locking rod is fitted for movement in channel to prevent radial displacement of locking rod relative to axis of rod member at engagement with outer surface of working head. Locking rods are interconnected by flexible tie. One of locking rods is secured on tie passing through longitudinal hole made in rod or getting into two blind holes made from opposite end faces of rod, and other rod is secured on end of tie fitted into blind hole of said rod.
EFFECT: improved reliability of locking and possibility of fitting locking mechanism in safe zones of underhood space.
