FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: device for blocking movable elements of a vehicle body is disclosed. Locking device comprises blocking element in the form of rod with a head and movable relative to each other body elements and a locking mechanism comprising a housing, in which movable means are installed for interaction with the head of the blocking element and control means. Interaction means are formed by a retainer located in the slider hole with possibility of interaction by one side with the stepped surface of the housing, in the channel of which with a spring-loaded towards the blocked element a slider is installed, and interaction of the other side with the head of the blocking element at partial exit of the slider hole inside its cavity facing the locked element, after the blocking element head action on the blocking mechanism slider. Control means are configured to hold the slider recessed into the housing when it interacts with the blocking element.

EFFECT: providing minimum mounting surface for arrangement of additional units in engine compartment.
