SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new compounds of malononitrile of the formula (Y): wherein R¹ and R² are similar or different and represent independently (C₁-C₅)-halogen)-alkyl or hydrogen atom; R³ represents (C₁-C₃)-halogenalkyl or (C₂-C₄)-halogenalkenyl; m represents a whole number from 1 to 3; R⁵ represents halogen atom, nitro-group, (C₁-C₄)-halogen)-alkyl, (C₁-C₄)-(halogen)-alkyloxy- or benzyloxy-group; n represents a whole number from 0 to 4; R⁶ represents hydrogen atom, halogen atom, cyano-, nitro-group, (C₁-C₄)-(halogen)-alkyl, (C₂-C₄)-(halogen)-alkenyl, (C₁-C₄)-(halogen)-alkyloxy-, (C₁-C₄)-(halogen)-alkylthio-group, (C₁-C₄)-(halogen)-alkylcarbonyl under condition that when n = 2 or above then substitutes R⁵ are similar or differ from one another. Also, invention relates to composition used for control of insect-pests that comprises malononitrile compound by claim 1 as an active component and a carrier, to a method for control of insect-pests involving applying pesticide effective amount of malononitrile compound by claim 1 on insect-pests or in places for their residence, to using malononitrile compound by claim 1 as an active component of the composition used for control of insect-pests. Also, invention relates to a new intermediate compound used for preparing compound of the formula (Y), i. e. compound (3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)-malononitrile of the formula:
