FIELD: electroforming processes and equipment, namely manufacture of complex-profile parts with variable wall thickness.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of electrolytic deposition of variable-thickness metal particles onto surface of cathode used as mold immersed in electrolyte; placing in electrolyte screening devices and additional cathode along apex of radius joining of mold surfaces along distance directly proportional to maximum thickness of electrolytic deposition of metal on apex of radius joining while guiding other flows along variable cross section ducts for dissipating them on shaping surface of cathode. Thickness of wall of formed part lowers as cross section of ducts decreases. Apparatus for performing the method includes electrolysis bath; at least one anode; mold secured to suspension unit; screening devices spaced from lateral surfaces of mold and restricting variable cross section ducts; additional cathode arranged along apex of radius joining of working surfaces of mold along distance directly proportional to maximum thickness of metal deposited on joining radius. Invention is used with mold having joining radius of its inner surfaces less than 0.8 mm.
EFFECT: elimination of dendrite and scab formation on apex of radius joining of inner surfaces of wall at electrolytic deposition of metal particles of variable thickness on working surfaces of mold.
