ACOUSTIC DIRECTION FINDER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC G01S3/00

Abstract RU 2274873 C2

FIELD: sound-analyzing stations (sound analyzing installations).

SUBSTANCE: acoustic direction finder can be used for finding location of sound source, for finding distance from acoustic signal source direction finder and topographic coordinates of this sound source. Acoustic direction finder has two linear groups of sound receivers connected with corresponding inputs of circuits of three signal processing channels connected in parallel. Any circuit has resonance amplifiers connected together in series of 20 in any signal-processing channel, voltage adders, and amplitude detectors, analog-to-digital converters and registers which have outputs connected with computer. Moreover, direction finder has circuit composed of resonance amplifiers connected in series and of pulse formers, which are also connected with corresponding aids of direction finder. Direction and location of sound source can be found with higher precision and for shorter time.

EFFECT: improved precision; higher efficiency.
