FIELD: electric measurement technology and automation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed frequency-to-current converter depends for its operation on generation of train of current pulses dosed by charge and separation of output current from this train by means of low-pass filter; in the process output current provides for generation of current pulse dosed by charge due to using positive feedback. Current ripples are suppressed due to decomposition of frequency being converted into two mutually alternating ones followed by their conversion in two identical converters whose output currents are added. Smooth waveform under steady state conditions and step-by-step output signal character in transients are attained in the course of conversion of two mutually alternating frequency trains in two identical dozers having common low-pass filter and positive feedback circuit of unity factor applied to them.
EFFECT: improved linearity of conversion, enlarged frequency range of output signal waveform and ripple level regulation.
