FIELD: the invention refers to parachutes applied in composition of a catapult seat.
SUBSTANCE: the parachute has a cupola, strops, free pick up points for fastening them to a suspended system, an arrangement fixed on free ends for reducing descending speed. The arrangement for reducing descending speed has an explosive charge and an igniter located in the body, two ignition cylinders with telescopic rods each of which has a union nut on which there is a roller for fastening to the free end of the parachute and a guiding roller. The inner rod of each ignition cylinder has a rounded tip designed for the contact with the free end of the parachute. The prepiston cavity of each ignition cylinder is connected with the cavity of the explosive charge.
EFFECT: reduces descending speed.
