FIELD: road building, particularly to investigate strength properties of solid materials by application of mechanical stress.

SUBSTANCE: pile driver comprises frame with mortar installed on the frame and striker coaxially arranged over the mortar. The striker may reciprocate along vertical guiding means. Striker guide is made as closed chain gear directed along vertical guiding means, connected with drive and carrying clutches for striker receiving. The clutches are made as double-armed L-shaped levers pivotally connected to chain by central parts thereof. One arm of each lever is made as striker support, another one has uniaxial carriage, which may move under lever cooperation with striker along flat surface of vertical guiding beam. Roller cooperating with idler arm is installed on carriage axis. Free end of idler arm performs rotation of table mounted on frame and adapted for mortar installation.

EFFECT: reduced labor inputs for test performing.
