FIELD: production of shaped wire having screw surface by drawing process, possibly manufacture of shaped blanks for making screw nails.

SUBSTANCE: roller head includes housing in which calibrated rollers are mounted in bearing assemblies by inclination angle one relative to other equal to screw surface lead angle. Said rollers form non-round gage. Housing of roller head is П-shaped, its height is equal to diameter of knurling roller. On upper and lower faces of housing there are semicircular turnings and threaded openings for mounting roller axles. Knurling rollers are mounted in cone bearing assemblies protected at outer side by means of oil-catching rings. In order to provide possibility for regulating cone bearing assemblies and for fixing roller-bearing unit in axle, roller axles are provided in addition with beaded journal at one side and at other side they are provided with threaded portion engaged with threaded sleeve having shoulder.

EFFECT: improved strength of bearing assemblies, enhanced operational reliability of knurling roller head, shortened time period for changing roller-bearing units.
