FIELD: mechanical engineering; antilock brake systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed antilock brake system consists of antilock brake systems of truck-tractor and trailer containing electronic control units. Each electronic control unit consists of two control parts. Angular velocity sensor of corresponding wheel is connected to input of each control part, and to output, control input of pressure modulator in wheel brake drive is connected. Moreover, sensors and pressure modulators of wheels belonging to one axle are connected to inputs of each electronic control unit. In antilock brake system quick-acting hydrodynamic and hydrostatic brake drives, operating at high-pressure of 8.0-10 MPa, with hydropneumatic accumulators for truck-tractor and trailer are used instead of pneumatic drive and with low-voltage capacitance type drive from brake cock of truck-tractor to trailer cock with power and kinematic following from driver's pedal. Larger liquid pressure in hydraulic drive of truck-tractor and trailer brakes provides greater, as compared with pneumatic drive, reliability of modulator of brake antilock system.
EFFECT: improved reliability of modulator of antilock brake system, quick response of brake drive, synchronous operation of hydraulic drives of truck-tractor and trailers, provision in independent of brake circuits in process of braking.
