FIELD: mining, particularly self-moving drilling rigs adapted to drill different purpose wells.

SUBSTANCE: method involves drilling well bore by drilling tool along with bore cleaning from drilling mud with compressed air, which is supplied to well by pump via drilling tool; forming liquid "piston" when bore drilling rate falls below predetermined value, wherein the "piston" is moved by compressed air; displacing drilling mud from bore by above liquid "piston". Self-moving drilling rig for above method realization comprises basic vehicle, frame mounted on vehicle chassis, power plant, compressor with receiver and hydraulic system, as well as mast, rotator with swivel installed on the mast and flushing liquid vessel connected to the receiver. Receiver and flushing liquid vessel are connected with the swivel through distribution means, which may supply compressed air from receiver and flushing liquid from vessel to swivel by turns. Fitting is pivotally connected to rear frame part. The fitting is provided with two hydraulic cylinders to bring it in working position and hydraulic cylinder to install the mast in working position. Mast base is fastened to the fitting.
