FIELD: mining industry, particularly devices for testing in situ the hardness or other properties of minerals.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining transversal and longitudinal deformations from previously measured vertical and horizontal displacements. Transversal strain coefficient and stress-strain modulus are determined by previously measured horizontal and vertical displacements of reference marks built in roof and ground, as well as in mine sides. The transversal strain coefficient and stress-strain modulus are determined from mathematical equations. One reference mark pair is used for vertical displacement determination, another one is utilized for horizontal displacement measuring. Volumetric rock weight above mine is determined as weighted average value.
EFFECT: increased reliability of strain characteristics determination.
