FIELD: flat antenna arrays for direct reception of satellite television programs.
SUBSTANCE: new design solution of hollow waveguide is used to produce antenna array for receiving signals of different polarization characterized in high efficiency and low noise temperature within broad frequency band thereby enabling disposition of two power supply systems of antenna array at different levels; these power systems have parallel power circuits for radiating components with common output for receiving differently polarized signals. Various types of single highly effective radiators of reverse-radiation antennas as well as double-mirror zoned antennas incorporating slow-wave connecting strip whose thickness equals maximum half the wavelength can be used as radiating components of flat antenna array.
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced reliability, facilitated manufacture, and reduced cost of antenna array.
