FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed coupling contains driving and driven coupling members connected, respectively, with output shaft of engine and with camshaft of fuel pump, two pairs of centrifugal flyweights placed between coupling members and provided with pull-back springs and support plates of springs connected with coupling members by means of pins secured in coupling members and retainers arranged on pins and located in inclined through slots made in flyweights from side of coupling members. Adjacent flyweights are interconnected by means of straight slots made in flyweights of one of pairs, and projections made on flyweights of other pair and getting into said slots.
EFFECT: provision of coupling of new design with required economical characteristics of diesel engine at preservation of tolerable level of fuel saving over entire range of operation from starting to nominal conditions.
