FIELD: technology for controlling thickness of multi-layer covers of cylinder-shaped products.

SUBSTANCE: acoustic device for controlling multi-layer structures contains synchronizer, indicator, serially connected pulse generator and ultrasound emitter, serially connected ultrasound receiver and amplifier, while it is provided with frequency splitter, signal register, N memory blocks, meant for recording characteristics of standard multi-layer constructions and N blocks for correlative signals processing; indicator is made N-channeled, output of synchronizer is connected to input of frequency splitter and to control input of signal register, output of frequency splitter is connected to control inputs of pulse generator and indicator, amplifier is made with possible transfer of electrical signal to input of signal register, output of signal register is connected to inputs of blocks for correlative signals processing, outputs of memory blocks are connected to second inputs of blocks for correlative signals processing respectively, and outputs of the latter are connected to N inputs of indicator respectively.

EFFECT: increased precision of control over structures with varying number of layers, type of material in different layers and thickness of layers.
