FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing derivatives of 5,6-phthalylphenothiazine-S,S-dioxide. Invention describes a method for preparing derivatives of 5,6-phthalylphenotizine-S,S-dioxide of the general formula: wherein X represents hydrogen halogen atom or lower alkyl; Y represents hydrogen atom or hydroxy-group. Method involves heating a derivative of 2-phenylsulfonylanthraquinone wherein 1-hydroxytriazeno-2-phenylsulfonylanthraquinone of the general formula: wherein X and Y have aforementioned values is used as a derivative of 2-phenylsulfonylanthraquinone, and this derivative is boiled in acetic anhydride followed by distilling off a solvent and the following its heating at temperature 220-240°C for 4-4.5 h. Proposed derivatives can be used in aniline-dye industry for preparing anthraquinone dyes.
EFFECT: simplified technology of process, expanded assortment of end products.
