FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the new method of 7,8-phtaloylacrodone derivatives production, which are used in dye-making and dye-using industries for dying various types of fibres. The method of production of 7,8-phtaloylacrodone derivatives of general formula 
, where in X - hydrogen, halogen or lower alkyl through heating of 2-aroylantrahynone derivative, which is different in that 1-hydroxytriazeno-2-aroylantrahynone of general formula 
is used as 2-aroylantrahynone derivative, wherein X has the indicated values, and which is boiled in acetic anhydride with further distilling of the solvent and boiling in mirbane oil or diethylene glycol within 1,5-2 hours is described.
EFFECT: simplification of 7,8-phtaloylacrodone derivatives production process.
