FIELD: electrical engineering; cable connectors.

SUBSTANCE: proposed coaxial cable connector has socket and plug sections with insulating washers, plug and clamping bushings with inner thread at end disposed in plug section, as well as coupling bushing disposed in socket section, flange and fastenings on connector in the form of mating pairs (holes and screws). Clamping bushing is stretched outside the socket-section flange; it encloses the latter and is tightly joined directly with coupling bushing by means of outer thread provided on the latter to form enclosed outer shell; fastening screws are moving within coupling-bushing flange from plug to socket sections so as to clamp flange to coupling bushing that has blind holes for the purpose. In this way single enclosed inner cavity is formed to provide for suppressing explosion energy inside connector without escape of discharge pulses into surrounding atmosphere thereby preventing bursts of all kinds and inflammation outside the cable connector.

EFFECT: enhanced explosion protection and manufacturability.
