SUBSTANCE: explosion-proof plug-and-socket (1) comprises plug (2) and socket (3). Plug (2) comprises case (4) with at least two pins (6) arranged in plug insert (5), and socket (3) comprises case (7) with response sockets (9) arranged in socket insert (8). One of cases (4, 7) is equipped with external bush (10), which may be detachably joined to other case (7, 4). To provide for protection of "d" type, fire-resistant shell, and protection of type "e", higher safety, even prior to engagement of pins (6) into electric contact with sockets (9), between external bush (10) and other case (7, 4), the first clearance (11) is formed, and between external bush (10) and appropriate insert (4, 8) there is the second gap (12).

EFFECT: improved convenience of plug-and-socket handling, especially when disconnecting plug from socket, with preservation of its explosion-proof property.
