FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, harvesting of yield grain part by combing of standing crop.
SUBSTANCE: harvesting machine has frame with power source, transfer mechanisms, combing unit, grain hopper, and covering cylinder. Combing unit has finger bar, sides, and receptacle beater with elastic planks. Space between bar fingers is equal to thickness of stem of crop to be harvested. Fingers have downward bent combing part. Covering cylinder is attached to frame so that its longitudinal position may be adjusted and is adapted for pressing stems to soil surface to thereby prevent standing crop from pulling-off together with root during combing process. Combing unit is positioned so that its position in vertical plane may be adjusted depending on height of stand of grain.
EFFECT: reduced grain losses and enhanced reliability in operation.
