METHOD FOR TREATING PAINFUL MUSCULAR SYNDROMES IN LUMBOVERTEBRAL DEPARTMENT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61H39/08 A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2277898 C2

FIELD: medicine, neurology, acupuncture reflexotherapy.

SUBSTANCE: acupuncture reflexotherapy should be carried out during 5 seances: in the course of the first three séances it is necessary to perform acupuncture of the following points R3, V23, V24, V28, PC75, VG2, V40, moreover, a patient should pronate and needles should be kept for 15 min in the above-mentioned points. In the same position it is necessary to warm up patient's skin with a wormwood cigar along posterior-median meridian from the point VG2 up to VG14 due to contact-free ironing technique for 3-5 min. Then one should remove needles out of points R3, V40 to lift a patient vertically. A patient should do physical loading as walking 5-6 steps straight, then it is necessary to turn back in a slow tempo for 2 min. Then a patient should do body bending as forward bent with a support followed by body extension - thrice. The rest needles should be removed. During the 4th or the 5th seance a patient should do body movements in flexion and extension to detect residual painful reactions. At detection the areas of pain one should apply the needles there, a patient should pronate and needles should be kept for about 20-30 min. The innovation provides shortened terms of therapy due to preventing the development of asymmetric muscular loading.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
