FIELD: chemistry of polymers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermoplastic polymeric composition comprising at least one aromatic polymer or their mixture and at least one cross-linking component. Aromatic polymer comprises polymeric chains with the average molecular mass (Mn) value in the first interval from 2000 to 11000 Da and shows the fluidity point of polymer and the presence of at least one reactive terminal group (Y). A cross-linking component comprises at least two cross-linking sites (Z). Terminal groups of polymeric chain are able to interact with the cross-linking site at the cross-linking point of chain exceeding the fluidity point of polymer to form cross-linked polymeric chains with the average molecular mass (Mn) value at the second interval from 9000 to 60000 Da that exceeds the value (Mn) for the first interval. Aromatic polymer has reactive by-side and/or terminal groups and comprises repeated inks bound by a simple ether and/or a simple thioether bond wherein kinks are chosen from the group consisting of: -(PhAPh)n- and optionally, additionally: -(Ph)a- wherein A represents -SO2 or -CO; Ph represents phenylene; n = 1-2; a = 1-4, and when a is above 1 then indicated phenylenes are bound linearly through a simple chemical bond or a bivalent group distinguishing from -A-, or they are condensed in common directly or through a cyclic fragment, such as cycloalkyl group, (hetero)aromatic group or cyclic ketone, amide, amine or imine. A cross-linking component corresponds to the formula: B(Z)n(Z')n' wherein B represents a polymeric chain or a main chain with 1-10 carbon atoms, or it represents aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon optionally substituted and/or comprising heteroatoms N, S, O, or it represents a simple bond or atoms C, O, S, N, or a transient metal; each among Z and Z' is chosen independently from functional groups providing active hydrogen and among any polar functional group able to interact in the presence of an electrophilic agent at enhanced temperature; each n and n' = 0 or a whole number from 1 to 6; the sum n + n' = at least 2. Cross-linking the chain is carried out in the solvent-free composition or its effective amount presenting in the melted state at the fluidity point to provide the polymeric chain mobility degree for self-orientation or coinciding for interaction. Also, invention relates to a method for preparing polymeric composition, method for preparing article, prepreg and composite. Invention provides preparing the composition possessing the excellent rheological and mechanical properties and resistance against effect of solvents.
