FIELD: mechanical engineering; protection of bearing unit from wear particles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of protection of bearing unit from finely dispersed wear particles comes to their removal from friction zone and localizing by means of dust-entrapping cylinder. Bearing unit is blown through by compressed air at a pressure of (1.5-2.0)105 Pa during 5 - 7 s every 2 - 3 h of operation of unit without its stopping. Blowing through is effected in axial direction of unit by means of inlet union connected with air mains, air space and nozzles of 0.3-0.4 mm diameter in number not less than 36. Outlet of air flow is realized through clearance between shaft of unit and sealing cover, and localization of finely dispersed wear particles is provided directly by axially magnetized dust-entrapping cylinder.
EFFECT: improved reliability of protection of bearing unit from finely dispersed wear particles, prevention of wedging.
