FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for protecting a bearing assembly from microdispersed particles. The method includes steps at which microdispersed particles are removed from the friction zone by blowing the bearing assembly with compressed air, under pressure, without stopping it. The pressure in the bearing assembly is controlled using a monometer, and the limit state of the sealing cap of the bearing assembly is controlled using a signalling device. Purging is carried out through the inlet fitting connected to the air line. The air flow outlet is realized through the gap between the assembly shaft and the sealing cover. Removal of microdisperse particles from the friction zone by blowing is carried out constantly, using the compressed air supply of the receiver with air flow control by the control device through the throttle. Under a pressure of 0.5-1.0 kPa, the entry of microdispersed particles into the bearing assembly from the outside is prevented by the exit of a constant air flow through the gap between the assembly shaft and the sealing cover.
EFFECT: improved bearing protection.
