FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises branching the flow into two branches. The rate in the branch with lower flow rate is governed by the calibrated gas dynamic resistance and the gas flow is marked. The multiple amount of the marker is introduced into the branch of higher flow rate. When the mixing of the marker is completed, the concentrations of the marker in the branches are compared. If the concentrations are not the same, then they are leveled by changing the multiplicity factor of branching. The mixture is sampled from both of the branches by means of a mixing device. The value of the flow rate in the high flow rate branch is obtained by multiplying the marker multiplicity factor by the value of the flow rate in the low flow rate branch that is measured with a standard flow meter.
