FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, engineering of braking equipment.
SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic brake contains body, braking drum mounted on a shaft, two electric magnets, mounted on both sides of braking drum with gap relatively to it, braking element, power and magnetic field sources. Braking element is made in form of braking bracket, held in lower portion of body with passive winding mounted on it, connected try reactive element to drive indicator of braking pedal. Braking drum is made detachable of two parts with coils with cores mounted radially therein, with several coils of conductor wound on coils with cores, forming a closed electric circuit. Conductor, forming a closed electric circuit, is made with thermo-resistant insulation. Braking bracket is made of transformer iron.
EFFECT: increased braking force and prevented wearing of brake blocks due to usage of electromagnetic forces for braking, and also increased safety of braking process.
