FISHING BALANCER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01K85/00 

FIELD: amateur and sports fishing.

SUBSTANCE: proposed balancer has housing, two wings, loops and clamps for fastening fishing line and hooks, and trailer. Housing of balancer is made in form of prism. Housing and wings are made integral. Each wing is essentially isosceles trapezium with rounded off corners at its bases. Trailer is secured on housing for horizontal displacement through maximum angle of 180° and vertical displacement through maximum angle of 30°. Trailer is made in form of single hook brought out of housing horizontally through distance of 1.0-0.5 of length of housing, with twister fitted on. Additional hook being additional fastener of twister is brought out from housing horizontally for a distance of 0.5-1.0 of housing length along rod of single hook.

EFFECT: increased distance of cast at higher strength of balancer, improved quality of balancer as bait.
