METHOD OF SOWING SEEDS OF GRASS AND SHRUBS TO CREATE PASTURE GROUNDS ON DESERTIFICATED LANDS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01C7/00 

FIELD: agriculture and forestry; phytoreclamation of descertificated lands.

SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, first groove is made for seeds in surface zone. Then seeds are sown in groove. Then seeds are covered by pressing into soil and moisture accumulating cavities are formed. Each groove for seeds has form of scalene pyramid with its vertex pointed downwards. Grooves are arranged on surface of desertificated plot in staggered order. Moisture accumulating cavities in form of interrupted furrows are made at side of strip with grooves made for seed sowing. Depth of interrupted furrows is 2-5 time greater than depth of grooves for seeds.

EFFECT: provision of steady phytocoenoses on desertificated lands by means of grass and shrubs fully acclimatized for specific conditions (such as wheat grass, Kochia, winterfat and others).
