FIELD: sea aviation; guard units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed guard rails include base on which stanchions are articulated. These stanchions are provided with rails and handrail. Stanchions may be collapsed along base. In collapsed position, base and handrail sections form aerodynamically streamlined superstructure protecting the stanchions with rails against incoming flow.
EFFECT: reduction of aerodynamic resistance of rails in folded position.
