FIELD: metallurgy; blast furnace process; melting cast iron or ferroalloys at blast of fuel additives (mazut, natural gas).
SUBSTANCE: proposed air tuyere includes steel flange, outer copper sleeve, inner copper sleeve, copper tip having slot in form of truncated cone. Gas supply pipe passes through inner cavity between outer and inner sleeves of tuyere. One of bases of truncated cone is located at distance of 0.2-0.4 of inner sleeve diameter from shear of tuyere tip; diameter of this base is equal to 1.05-1.25 of diameter of tuyere inner sleeve. Diameter of other base of truncated cone corresponds to diameter of inner sleeve.
EFFECT: enhanced mixing of gas with blast; improved conditions of reaction of combustion of natural gas.
