FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, blast-furnace process; applicable in iron smelting in blast furnaces with blowing into air tuyeres of additional fuel. SUBSTANCE: air tuyere consists of steel flange, external and internal copper sleeves and copper nose. Internal surfaces of the tuyere parts form blast channel. Step contraction of blast channel is found in copper nose at a distance equalling 0.1-0.18 length of blast channel from nose end surface. In this case, ratio of minimum and maximum diameters in point of junction of channel cavities with different diameters amounts 0.6-0.95, and conjugation of internal walls of blast channel is made at an angle of 70-110 deg. EFFECT: improved combustion of blown fuel into blast furnace and reduced coke consumption. 3 cl, 1 dwg
