FIELD: air-conditioning systems, characterized by the treatment of the air by humidification, by dehumidification.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises body with tray and with upper liquid vessel, positive and exhaust blowers, connection pipes to feed and discharge total, main and auxiliary flows and evaporative head. The evaporative head comprises plates arranged in pairs and formed of capillary-porous material. Spaces defined by the plates are communicated with upper vessel. The plates are divided by corrugated water-tight partitions, which define channels for total and auxiliary air flows. The evaporative head also includes exhaust blower, control unit and head moistening means communicated with liquid source through solenoid-operated valve. To provide uniform plate moistening the plates have height-varying equivalent pore diameters, which may be calculated from where de - equivalent pore diameter at current z-coordinate, de0 - equivalent pore diameter at the beginning of auxiliary air flow passage in the channels at upper plate level, H is evaporative plate height, ▵h is liquid head in upper vessel.
EFFECT: reduced liquid consumption.
