FIELD: production or use of heat, not derived from combustion.
SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying liquid substance in treatment area and forming cavitation bubbles in the substance by periodical pressure pulses creation, wherein pressure pulses are generated as converging spherical or cylindrical wave, which is spontaneously converted into shock wave. Serial energy transmissions in the substance result in emission of energy dissipated by the substance in the form of heat, which heats the substance. Device for above method realization comprises working chamber arranged in body having inlet and outlet connection pipes. Stator and rotor connected to drive shaft are arranged in the working chamber. Rotor is made as centrifugal pump impeller. Centrifugal pump comprises collar with orifices for liquid substance to be treated passage arranged at pump outlet. Stator collar is coaxially fixed to centrifugal pump body and has orifices located in front of rotor orifices. Number of stator orifices is equal to number of rotor orifices. Total area of rotor collar orifices is equal to that of stator and is equal to 0.1-0.7 of corresponding impeller inlet area. Rotor collar orifice pitch and stator orifice pitch are equal to 2.0-2.25 orifice widths. Rotor and stator collars are profiled and made as concave ring having contour generator, which is shaped as half of circle with r radius. The ring has slot-like cuts. Plane of ring generator coincides with plane of slot-like cuts location. Rotor drive axis extends along line or intersection of all planes, in which cuts are formed. Device control system comprises cavitation-type generator having input connected with liquid substance flow regulator. The system also includes separator and the second liquid substance flow regulator installed at cavitation-type generator output. The separator is located in hydraulic path connecting the second regulator output with the first regulator input in closed circulation loop. The system may have open loop including separator arranged downstream of the second regulator.
EFFECT: increased coefficient of moving liquid energy conversion into acoustic energy, extended functional capabilities of cavitation-type generators usage, possibility to control cavitation process.
